Ces examens d&rsquo;imagerie utilisent des mati\u00e8res radioactives appel\u00e9es produits radiopharmaceutiques ou mat\u00e9riaux radiotraceurs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1562\">Les mat\u00e9riaux radiotraceurs sont soit inject\u00e9s dans le corps, soit aval\u00e9s, soit inhal\u00e9s sous forme de gaz, en fonction du type d&rsquo;examen de m\u00e9decine nucl\u00e9aire. Finalement, ils s&rsquo;accumulent dans un organe ou dans une zone examin\u00e9e du corps. Les \u00e9missions radioactives produites par les mat\u00e9riaux radiotraceurs sont d\u00e9tect\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une cam\u00e9ra sp\u00e9ciale ou d&rsquo;un dispositif d&rsquo;imagerie qui cr\u00e9e des images et fournit des informations mol\u00e9culaires.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1567\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"2076\">Dans de nombreux centres, les images de m\u00e9decine nucl\u00e9aire peuvent \u00eatre superpos\u00e9es aux images de tomodensitom\u00e9trie (CT) ou d&rsquo;imagerie par r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique (IRM) ou combin\u00e9es avec ces images par le biais d&rsquo;une application connue sous le nom de fusion d&rsquo;images ou co-enregistrement. Ces images permettent d&rsquo;obtenir des informations plus pr\u00e9cises et de poser un diagnostic plus sensible en corr\u00e9lant et en interpr\u00e9tant les informations obtenues gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 deux examens diff\u00e9rents au sein d&rsquo;une seule image.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2078\" data-end=\"2468\">De plus, aujourd&rsquo;hui, les fabricants produisent des unit\u00e9s de tomographie par \u00e9mission monophotonique \/ tomodensitom\u00e9trie (SPECT\/CT) et de tomographie par \u00e9mission de positons \/ tomodensitom\u00e9trie (PET\/CT) qui peuvent fournir les deux techniques d&rsquo;imagerie en m\u00eame temps. M\u00eame si le PET\/IRM n&rsquo;est pas encore couramment utilis\u00e9, il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une technologie d&rsquo;imagerie nouvellement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
